paintiko

Local creations. Grown-up control.

Paintiko does not ask children to register or provide an email, voice or location, and it does not show ads. Nothing is measured on the screens where children play.

What children do in the app

  • Players are animals. A grown-up may add an optional nickname and a level for each child to the grown-up account, so the same players appear on each device; nothing else about a child is sent. Everything a child makes is stored only in the browser on your device.
  • Photos taken for toy pages are turned into outlines on the device. The photo is never stored or uploaded.
  • There is no chat, sharing, public gallery or social feature, and no links out of the app in the children's areas.
  • Inside play, prices, checkout, account controls and parent links sit behind a grown-up question. Public information and account setup pages are available before play. The question is a navigation check, not verification of parental identity.

What stays local and what reaches the service

Artwork, stickers and progress stay in the browser. Optional animal, level and nickname profiles entered by a grown-up are stored with the adult account. A nickname may identify a child; leave it blank or use an animal name. Adult account requests send an email, account/session identifiers and the information needed for the chosen action. Pass requests send license/device identifiers; opening a kid link sends its access token. Hosting providers also process technical request data.

Adult accounts and optional assistant access

A grown-up sets up an account to open play or creates a kid link for another device. Children have no accounts; the grown-up account holds the adult's email address, a password hash and, if the grown-up adds them, each child's animal, level and optional nickname in Neon Postgres (processed for the adult, who can change or delete them at any time), and any assistant tool access is read-only and granted by a grown-up. The tools disclose pass status, device counts and packs, not child profiles or artwork. Authorization may request adult identity/email scopes. See the full policy for providers, retention and deletion limits.

Parents' rights

You can review or delete local creations in Players & settings, or by clearing site data. Manage optional server profiles on the account page; deleting the adult account removes its live profiles and links. Clearing a browser does not delete the server account. To ask about or delete the license service's records for your pass, email support@paintiko.com with your license code. We never need your child's details to help.

More detail is in the full privacy policy.
